Leo Trading said today that a shipment of staple goods, donated by the company's Chairperson, will be sent to every household in the two islands before Ramadan. Along with rice, sugar, and flour, dates will also be included for each household this time.
Leo Trading said today that despite the previous shipment running aground and causing losses, they will resend the Ramadan gifts to Gaafu Alifu atoll Nilandhoo and Dhaandhoo.
Late last month, a Leo trading vessel, Leo Wing, was transporting gifts including over 1,070 gunny bags of rice, flour, and sugar meant for households in the two islands on behalf of Leo Trading's Chairperson,
However, the vessel ran aground on Ekefaru reef and all the goods being transported had fallen in the sea.
