The President's Office announced on Sunday that President Dr Muizzu had decided to include a 200-hectare lagoon within the jurisdiction of AA. Thoddoo and AA. Rasdhoo. The resolution was also placed on gazette by the government of Maldives.
The lagoon in question is known as Maafalhu, and is located to the north of Rasdhoo atoll. The president's resolution states that both the islands of AA. Thoddoo and AA. Rasdhoo will each have 200-hectares from the lagoon under their jurisdiction.
