UAE-based content creator and digital storyteller Khalid Al Ameri has arrived in Maldives for an exclusive familiarization (FAM) trip hosted by the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).
He landed in the Maldives on Saturday and will stay until Thursday as part of an initiative to promote the country’s unique beauty and rich cultural heritage to a wider Middle Eastern audience, MMPRC said.
Khalid has been actively sharing content on his social media platforms, highlighting Maldives as the top destination for tourists from the Middle East and GCC region.
A Stanford University graduate, Khalid is known for his engaging content that promotes cultural understanding and Islamic values.
With more than 21 million followers across social media, he has been recognized as one of the "100 Most Powerful Arabs" by Gulf Business. His work resonates strongly within the Middle Eastern market, making him an ideal partner to showcase the Maldives' diverse offerings, MMPRC said.
MMPRC has also been leveraging celebrity endorsements from India and other key markets to promote Maldives as a leading travel destination.
Recently, the country was named an official tourism destination partner of Liverpool Football Club.
