Ahmed Mujahid has been appointed as Principal of Majeedhiya School.
Mujahid was previously serving as Deputy Principal of Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE).
An announcement seeking a principal for Majeedhiya School was made last month, following the retirement of then Principal Aishath Mohamed Solih.
Mujahid, who holds 16 years of experience in the educational sector, was selected for the post from amongst the applicants. He has begun reporting to duty effective today.
Mujahid first worked as a Physics teacher in Dhaandhoo School, and later worked as a part-time presenter at the State media, Television Maldives (TVM).
He holds a Masters in Education from Malaysia's Open University. He has also worked as a Leading Teacher, and then Deputy Principal of Iskandhar School. He also taught at the Maldives National University as a part-time lecturer. He later worked at the Ministry of Education as well.
