Maldivian Aero's parent company, Island Aviation's Managing Director, Ibrahim Iyas has said today that international travels will resume without interruption during the process of resolving the technical issues with the Airbus aircraft's operations.

Iyas said today that repairs are currently underway for the Airbus aircraft, which typically flies to international destinations. He assured that trips to Trivandrum and Cochin, India, will continue without any disruption on the scheduled dates of the tickets during this repair process.

The highest priority is currently being given to those who have previously purchased tickets, he said. He stated that flights have been arranged on the Maldivian ATR aircraft to adhere to the travel schedule but emphasized that there may be slight changes to the flight timings.

Maldivian had also employed aircraft from other airlines to transport some passengers to Male' City yesterday, in addition to using its own fleet. Some travelers who had purchased tickets to fly from Trivandrum to Male' are also scheduled to travel today via the Indian airline, IndiGo.

In a post on social platform X yesterday, Maldivian announced that the flight that departed from Male' to Trivandrum yesterday evening had to turn around and land back in Male' due to engine troubles.
