Senior officials from Island Aviation Services (IAS), the operator of national airline ‘Maldivian’, resigned from their positions on Sunday.
IAS falsified rumours claiming that numerous people had resigned at the same time, affirming that three seniors gave up their positions and some had resigned in the past.
“This will not be a hindrance to our operations”, an IAS official said.
The company had previously dismissed certain individuals such as the Director of Flight Operations and Assistant Flight Operations over bringing changes to the company’s structure.
Rumours circulating on social media claimed that numerous seniors of the company gave up their positions.
According to local media ‘Mihaaru’, senior pilots including captains had resigned from other work responsibilities within the company but continue to operate the aircrafts.
