The new members to the ACC are Ahmed Nashid from Machangolhi Goldenmoon in Male' and Abdulla Nashid from Fasaana, Raa atoll Alifushi.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed two new members to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The new appointees are Ahmed Nashid from Machangolhi Goldenmoon in Male' and Abdulla Nashid from Fasaana, Raa atoll Alifushi.
Their names were approved by the Parliament on Thursday, and President Dr Muizzu handed them their letter of appointment during a ceremony held at the President's Office today.
Ahmed Nashid previously served as a member of the Police Board and as the Assistant Commissioner of Police, while Abdulla Nashid has worked as a manager in various departments of Aasandha Pvt Ltd and holds a Master's in Education from India's Regional Institute of Education.
The vacancies arose following the resignations of ACC Vice-President Abdul Salaam and member Thoha Mohamed, who stepped down amid an investigation by Parliament into allegations against them.
