Maldives condemns Israeli attacks on Rafah, calls to abide ICJ ruling

In a statement released by the Foreign Ministry last night, the Maldives strongly condemned the attacks and said that "such deliberate aggression and genocidal acts targeted against civilians are in gross violation of international humanitarian law".

Maldives has condemned the continuous military aggression by Israeli forces against unarmed civilians in the Gaza Strip, the latest of which includes the bombardment of tents in southern Gaza city of Rafah where hundreds of displaced Palestinians were taking shelter.

An Israeli strike killed 45 people in a camp housing displaced Palestinians. The Palestinian Health Ministry said more than 200 people were injured in the incident.
