Former Football Association of Maldives (FAM) General Secretary Mohamed Jaushan Shareef has started working at FIFA as a consultant in the FIFA Member Association Department.
Former Football Association of Maldives (FAM) General Secretary Mohamed Jaushan Shareef has started working at FIFA as a consultant in the FIFA Member Association Department.
In his strategic post in the Member Association Department, he provides advice to Maldives' FAM as well.
FAM Normalization Committee Chairperson Ahmed Zuhoor said that Jaushan provides advice and assistance to the Normalization Committee on request.
Before Jaushan was appointed as the last General Secretary under former FAM President Bassam Adeel Jaleel, he led the association's legal department.
When allegations of corruption were raised against Bassam, and two elections of FAM failed to be held, Jaushan continued serving as Acting General Secretary.
He faced criticism for some of the actions taken during his time as Acting Secretary General.
He stayed on as Acting Secretary General even after the Normalization Committee took over, on request of Zuhoor until he resigned last year.
