The closing date for applications for The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS), provided by the Government of Japan, is approaching, set to conclude in the initial week of the upcoming month.

Applicants have until December 3 to submit their applications for master's degree programs, supported by the Japanese government.

This scholarship encompasses master's degree offerings from the University of Tsukuba in the Master's Program in Environmental Sciences, the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Masters of Public Policy or Public Administration, and Ritsumeikan University, which offers a Masters of Arts in International Relations.

Each university under this scholarship has two available options. Alongside covering study and travel expenses, the Japanese government has committed to funding all living and return expenses.

Eligibility is limited to Maldivians aged between 22 and those who have not yet reached the age of 39 as of April 1, 2024.

These scholarships are exclusively open to civil servants with a government-recognized bachelor's degree, permanent employees of autonomous bodies, and those affiliated with courts and courts-related establishments. Additionally, applicants must be full-time, current employees with a minimum of two years of work experience.

More information about the scholarship can be found on the JDS website.
