Three students who successfully completed their educational programs under the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS), funded by the Japanese government, recently had the privilege of meeting with the Japanese Ambassador to the Maldives, Takechi Midori.

These three students were part of a group of five recipients who successfully completed their JDS scholarships this year and returned to the Maldives. Upon returning to their home country, they commenced their professional careers, contributing their expertise in various government agencies, including the ministry of foreign affairs, ministry of environment, family protection authority, and utility regulatory authority.

.

The JDS scholarships are targeted towards permanent staff members of civil services, independent bodies, courts, and affiliated institutions. The primary objective of this scholarship program is to enable employees from diverse agencies to pursue master's degrees, enhancing the human resource capacity required for effective government administration. This ensures their active involvement in the development of socio-economic plans, ultimately leading the nation towards progress.

Applications for these scholarships are currently being accepted, and interested candidates can submit their applications until December 3, 2023. Further details about the scholarship opportunity can be found on the JDS website.
