Foreign Minister sends Independence Day greetings to Afghanistan

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid, on Tuesday, sent felicitations to Afghanistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Salahuddin Rabbani, on the occasion of their Independence Day.

Speaking on behalf of the state and the people of Maldives, Minister Shahid extended well wishes to the Afghan government and its citizens.

The foreign minister also expressed hopes of a peaceful and prosperous future for Afghanistan.

Furthermore, Minister Shahid conveyed his confidence that bilateral friendly relations between Maldives and Afghanistan would strengthen in the upcoming years.
