Maldives Immigration has said that they are working on deporting the three expatriates arrested last night for involvement in a violent altercation at Artificial Beach.
The three arrested by Police following the altercation last night are all from India.
Immigration Controller Mohamed Sham'aan said that all three are now in Immigration custody. He said that the office is working on deporting all three of them, stating that no second chances will be provided to expatriates who threaten public safety.
Police said last night that the three had also attacked a Maldivian who had been taking video footage of the altercation.
This follows a similar incident last month, when several Indian nationals were arrested for a brawl at the same location.
