MP Ahmed Faris Maumoon on Friday paid a visit to Malaysia's Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Bin Mohamed.
Former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom shared pictures of his son meeting with Dr Mahathir at his office, on Twitter.

However, the details of this meeting remain unclear as no parties shared information on what was discussed.
Dr Mahathir was known to be one of the closest world leaders to President Maumoon.
The 93-year-old had filled the role of prime minister from 1981 to 2003 and was re-elected this year.
