Judicial Service Commission (JSC) on Sunday, suspended Magistrate Mul'ha Ali, of the magistrate court of Fuvahmulah City, for a period of 60 days, amidst an ongoing investigation against her.
According to the statement released by the institution, the suspension was passed based on multiple allegations of misconduct and evidence presented to support the claims.
JSC did not disclose further details of the case.
As reported by local media, she was appointed to the magistrate court in February 2018.
JSC is presently probing various cases involving judges of other courts as well.
The commission had in the past, terminated some justices over disciplinary violations.
