In a ceremony held at Hotel Jen, the card was launched during the ongoing Business Expo.
BML said that the company has launched the Business Debit Card tor uses such as managing petty cash conveniently by businesses.
The bank has launched a Business Prepaid Dollar Card and a Rufiya Card.
The Business Prepaid Rufiya card can only be used within the Maldives. This card will be accepted at ATMs, POS card machines and ecommerce platforms. The card has a daily limit of MVR 200,000, with the maximum reload allowed being capped at MVR 500,000.
Business Prepaid Dollar card can be used both in-country and abroad. This card has a daily limit of USD 50,000. The maximum reload for the card is capped at USD 100,000.
BML said that businesses also have the opportunity to increase the limit on cards if desired.
In addition to managing petty cash, these cards are also include in the MasterCard Easy Savings Programme. This means that customers will be granted discounts when purchasing Adobe Acrobat, Google workspace and similar products through this card.
It is also included in the MasterCard 'Priceless' program, which gives the customers special travel offers when booking flights and hotels using this card.
The card also grants customers 35 percent discount on all Zoho products.
The new upgrade to the BML mobile app also allows for the card to be used in QR transactions.
More information regarding these cards, convenient means of financial transactions for businesses and other services offered for businesses can be sought through visiting the ongoing Business Expo.
