Malé City Council on Monday, announced seeking parties to renovate and maintain the Lonuziyaaraiy Park located in the city’s Henveiru ward.
In an announcement, the council said that several portions of the park were in need of immediate repairs.
The council is seeking an interested firm that will renovate and maintain the park at its own expense, and added that bid opportunities are now open.
Interested parties must submit the bid documents before 11:00 a.m. on April 25, 2023.
Registered local companies, partnerships, or local investments are eligible to apply for the bidding, according to the council.
Lonuziyaaraiy Park was developed under the supervision of former Malé City Mayor Shifa Mohamed and was officially unveiled on November 11, 2020, with MVR 16.8 million allocated for the project through the state budget.
Last year, the council faced public criticism for being unable to maintain the upkeep of Lonuziyaaraiy Park. The authority had denied the allegations.
