Ahmed Nasif (Didi), former chairman of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), has been appointed chairman of the Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO).
Nasif was appointed HDC chairman in November last year. Before that, he served as chairman of the Regional Airports Company from January 2023.
He also held the position of managing director at HDC in 2018 and previously served as managing director of Thilafushi Corporation Limited (TCL) and Greater Male' Industrial Zone Limited during former President Abdulla Yameen’s administration.
