I’ve forgiven you

I’ve granted your pardon.//

The silky lies

That rolled off your silky tongue,

I’ve wiped it off.//

I kept count

Of your dreadful sins;

A one; a ten; a thousand;

Pages,

Till they became books

And my hands shook.//

I ran miles.

In search of the souls

You murdered with your vicious eyes,

To beg them to show Mercy on you.//

You’ve drained my blood

And clenched my soul.

But this very dawn,

I’ve let it off my chest

I’ve forgiven you.
