Most of the poems were written during the Covid-19 pandemic. With the world having been reshaped during that time, some of Faisal's poems were created in the silence, calm, solitude and emotional turmoil of that time, he said.

Those who want to purchase the book can do so by texting @mofaisal12 on Instagram. The book will also be available in stores soon for MVR 200.

Faisal's love for literature sprouted during his days in Majeediyya School. He had also edited a student's English poetry book in 1989.

Faisal's first poetry book "Empty Words" was published when he was studying in New Zealand in 2009. The book mainly features poems he had written in the 1990's. His work has been featured in the Elevation Review and Ireland's Smashing Times International Center for the Arts and Equality's Anti-War Poetry Collection.

Faisal has also written songs for the band Final Revelation. Some of those songs were used by FasyLive, specifically "Rising", a popular track in its own right.

Faisal has also held the Additional Secretary post at the Foreign Ministry, with him having also been the Maldivian Ambassador to the People's Republic of China. He was also a skilled cricket player and serves as the President of the Cricket Board. He has also held posts at the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
