MIB's "Apply Now" portal was selected for the award by IBS Intelligence, competing against several banks from the Middle East and Asia. It is the only platform in the Maldives offering instant account opening services for individuals and businesses.
In addition to account opening, the portal enables applications for other banking services.
The platform integrates with eFaas for customer verification and utilizes the Ministry of Economic Development’s database for business verification.
The bank also emphasizes that the portal’s security measures meet international standards.
MIB’s PR Officer, Ahusan Jameel, said that the Apply Now portal Maldivian product.
“This is a 100 percent Maldivian product, receiving such an international award is a testament to the skills of Maldivian developers," he said.
MIB provides a wide range of online banking services using advanced technology.
