Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has announced that judges traveling for work outside their jurisdiction must obtain prior permission from the commission.

A circular signed by JSC President Hussain Riza Adam, issued on October 9, states that if a judge is seeking to travel outside of their area of jurisdiction in relation to a court case, then they must first seek approval from the commission.

JSC has been taking a number of measures to bring down expenditure in light of the difficult financial situation of the country.

As such, the commission is also taking measures to bring down their recurrent costs.
