Construction of a building in Male' has caused the adjacent house to lean sideways with foundation being affected.

Male' City Council just reported that while M. Navigator was under construction, part of the neighboring M. Lucky Heaven began to sink and collapse, prompting current evacuation efforts of the building's residents.

The building is located on Izzudheen Magu, near Haama Shop.

This incident was noticed this afternoon. No one was injured in this incident.

The City Council stated that this likely occurred due to the absence of sheet piling during Navigator's construction. As a result, cracks have appeared in Lucky Heaven's walls, and the building has started to sink, according to the City Council.

The City Council is working to relocate four families living in four rooms of Lucky Heaven.

"In this house, from four rooms, four families, including three children under 18 and six people [are being relocated]. Two sections are occupied by foreign tenants," the City Council said.
