Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the recipient of this year's Sports Scholarship.
The scholarship was awarded this year to sprinter Aishath Himna Hassan. Under this scholarship, she will be undertaking on a one year training under SprinTec Track Club in Jamaica.
Last year, seven athletes were awarded this scholarship.
BML said that this scholarship aims to offer upcoming athletes the opportunity to train in high performance training centres under all expenses covered offers in a bid to further develop and encourage sports in the Maldives.
Athletes are selected for this scholarship by Maldives Olympics Committee.
