Fenaka Corporation agreed to pay the amount of MVR 13.3 million, following which the court ordered the payment be made within seven months.
Civil Court has ruled Fenaka Corporation must pay MVR 13.3 million to Island Engineering Services and Supplies Pvt Ltd.
The company initially filed a civil suit seeking MVR 15 million for goods provided to Fenaka Corporation inclusive of GST. The company sought a total of MVR 31 million that included MVR 16 million for legal expenses.
Fenaka Corporation agreed to pay the amount of MVR 13.3 million, following which the court ordered the payment be made within seven months.
Fenaka Corporation is currently facing significant financial challenges, with reported debts totaling MVR 4 billion and numerous lawsuits filed against the company. The court has also ordered withholding of a specified amount from Fenaka Corporation's accounts in relation to some of these cases.
