With the Southwest Monsoon currently active over the region, the MET Office predicts strong winds of 15-25 miles per hour in the northern region, with the south expected to see winds of 13-23 miles per hour. Gusts of 45-55 miles per hour are expected as well over the next five days.
With the strong winds, rough seas and surge waves are also expected.
Heavy showers and thunderstorms are also warned of across the country.
The MET Office urges caution, especially in sea travel.
