This is the eighth time that land plots have been opened for sale since then. There have been seven previous sales, bringing the total number of land plots sold to approximately 70.
Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced the sale of land plots for the eight time.
In an announcement, HDC said that 10 plots of land are up for sale, which includes 3 beachfront plots and 7 beachside plots.
Beachfront plots sized between 1,550 to 3,250 square feet are available for purchase at MVR 4,500 per square foot. Plots sized 1,550 square feet will be priced at MVR 7 million and plots sized 3,250 square feet are priced at MVR 14.6 million.
Beachside plots sized between 1,230 to 1,534 square feet are available for purchase at MVR 4,000 per square foot. These plots range between MVR 5 million and MVR 6.1 million.
Last November, HDC also announced eight plots of land from Hulhumale' Phase 2. Before that, 18 plots were up for sale in October and 16 plots in September. HDC began sale of land plots from May this year.

The sale of these land plots is exclusively available to Maldivian nationals aged 18 and above, as well as 100 percent locally owned companies.
Last year, HDC opened two rounds of land sales in Hulhumale', offering 17 plots in one round and 13 in the other.
