Islamic Ministry will be conducting a forum tonight on the history of Palestine.
The Ministry said that the forum, titled "Palestine is the unity of the Ummah", is being held through collaboration with Isra Association.
The forum will be held at 20:30 hrs tonight at the hall of the Islamic Center.
Religious scholars Dr Abdul Sattar Abdul Rahman and Dr Abdul Hannan Waheed will be speaking at this forum.
The government has led various efforts in aid of Palestine in the past months. They have also decided to donate USD 100,000 from the Zakat Fund to assist those in need in Palestine.
In a telethon held last month by the government and the state's Public Service Media, MVR 19 million was receieved from various institutions and the general public.
This year's donation from Maldives to the UNRWA has also been increased from USD 5000 to USD 50,000.
