Employees from Aasandha has submitted a petition to the President's Office and the Privatization and Corporatization Board, expressing concerns over the company’s decision to dissolve its case processing department next month.

The petition states that Aasandha Managing Director Aminath Zeeniya announced on January 20, the dissolution of the case processing unit and the supervisors' roles, opting instead to appoint an in-charge for each shift.
Zeeniya could not be reached for comment.
According to the petition, the decision will force long-serving employees to take on roles unrelated to their experience and training. The company made this change without consulting the employees and failed to provide a clear rationale, leaving workers feeling unappreciated and demotivated, the petition said.
The petition calls for several actions, including:
- The continuation of the Case Processing Department as it was before
- Restoring supervisor roles
- The reinstatement of the MVR 1,000 supervisor allowance for additional duties
- Equalization of workload
- Consultation with employees before making major decisions that affect them
Additionally, the petition states that some employees have resigned due to the management's approach, which has caused difficulties for current staff and decreased their confidence in the company's management.
