Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has lowered the gate fee charged to trucks bringing in garbage to their waste management centres.

In an announcement made by the company yesterday, they said that the gate fee was being changed at waste management centres in cities and islands where they provide service effective immediately.
With this change, a fee of MVR 106 per tonne will be charged for vehicles.
Previously the charge was MVR 212 per tonne.
