The government has been working to revive the Dhivehi nationalism and increase the love for the country and nationalism in the hearts of the people. For that, a college called “Dhivehi Gaumiyyathuge Isvaaru" has been established.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu said today that Maldivians will always give priority to the Dhivehi language and it is also the backbone of the Maldivian people.
In a post on X, President Muizzu sending his greetings on Dhivehi language day, stated that said that every year, every two years, century and millennium will be spent giving priority to the Dhivehi language.
He said the Dhivehi language is also the pillar of the Maldivian people's identity.
President Muizzu said that the people of Maldives will keep up with every turn of the times with the hopes that the language will continue to live and flourish.

The college will look into five main areas. They are Dhivehi Language, Maldivian History, Maldivian Heritage, Maldivian Data and Maldivian Arts.
