A motorcycle traveling from Male' to Hulhumale' on the Sinamale' Bridge has crashed into the bridge fence, leaving one with serious injuries.
The accident occurred at around 05:30 hrs this morning near the airport traffic light, Police said.
The accident resulted in the driver of the motorcycle, a 53 year old Maldivian man, sustaining serious injuries.
The man is currently receiving treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, which says that his condition is serious.
Details of the injuries have not been disclosed. Police are looking into the accident further.
