The South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) is now fully prepared to begin the new SABA Club Championship next month.
The tournament will be held from April 2-7 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, India. The opportunity is open to the national league champions from each country in South Asia.
Representing the Maldives will be T-Rex BC, who won the national basketball league last year. T-Rex secured the league championship by defeating the previous three times winner, Kings BC.
T-Rex not only won last year's national basketball tournament but also won this year's MBA Championship.
In addition to T-Rex, the competing teams will include Tamil Nadu from India, Colombo BC from Sri Lanka, Times BC from Nepal, Thimphu Magics from Bhutan, and ISB Panthers from Pakistan.
In the first match next Wednesday, T-Rex will face Thimphu Magics. On Thursday, they will play against Colombo BC, and on Friday, they will compete against Times BC.
During the tournament's fourth match, scheduled for the evening of Sunday, April 6, T-Rex will play againt Tamil Nadu. Following this match, they will be playing against ISB Panthers in the finals.
