Ghalib was earlier arrested on November 7, after a group of 12 people kidnapped a man inside Apartment 11 on the 20th floor of Hiyaa Flat H9. The suspects forcibly shaved the victim’s head before the police broke into the locked apartment and arrested them.
One of the 12 men arrested last year for kidnapping and attempting to cut off a man’s finger inside a Hiyaa flat has been arrested again, this time for robbery.
Hassan Ghalib, 38, from Meemu atoll Kolhufushi, was taken into custody in connection with the theft. The Criminal Court has extended his remand for 15 days.
