A cryptocurrency scam has been circulating on social media through a fake account created under the name of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
The fraudulent account, using President Muizzu’s name and photo, falsely claims that Maldives had introduced a cryptocurrency which is a major step in advancing "digital culture."
