In a post on X, the President shared insights from the discussions, stating that he had gained valuable knowledge about Estonia’s digital journey and explored potential bilateral cooperation in the field.
“I am looking forward to fostering closer collaboration in advancing public and private sector innovation,” President Muizzu said.
During the meeting, the President outlined his administration’s vision for a digitally empowered Maldives, highlighting ongoing initiatives aimed at prioritizing digitalization in public services, said President's Office.
At the roundtable, President Muizzu shared his government’s vision for a digital nation, noting that the “Digital Maldives” vision is inclusive, sustainable, and resilient.
The President also visited the e-Estonia Briefing Center in Tallinn, where he learned about the country’s digital advancements. The center showcased Estonia’s innovations in e-governance and digital society, including e-residency, digital ID cards, e-taxation, and secure data exchange through the X-Road system.
