The government has today announced 100 scholarships to train professional chartered accountants in the Maldives.
The government has today announced 100 scholarships to train professional chartered accountants in the Maldives.
These 100 scholarships are split into public category and open category.
The first category is 50 scholarships offered to State institutions. The open category, meanwhile, offers 50 scholarships to persons working in private institutions and those who are not employed at present.
Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development said that the "Professional Accountants Training Scholarship Scheme 2024" offers trainings at Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) level, professional level, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) management level and strategic level.
1. To fulfill the requirements of entering ACCA skills level or professional level
2. To fulfill the requirements of entering CIMA management level or strategic level
3. Be consistenly repaying any existing student loans from the Ministry or the earlier Higher Education department without default
4. The applied course being of a higher level than currently completed courses, and not being a student currently studying a course of the same level on State expenses
The deadline for applications is 13:00 hrs on Wednesday, July 31.
