President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih said on Wednesday that the current administration has witnessed the lowest crime rate recorded in recent history.
During his campaign visit to Haa Alifu atoll Thuraakunu, President Solih highlighted that the current administration has been able to carry out developmental projects successfully due to the communities' maintenance of peace.
"When you look at the various data regarding the past five years, police reports indicate that the past five years have had the lowest crime rate in recent history. God willing, we will decrease that percentage even more in the next five years," President Solih said.
President Solih emphasized that the most important policy is to ensure that the Maldives remains a peaceful nation.
Regarding the development projects being undertaken by the current administration in smaller islands with lower populations, President Solih said that there is still much work to be done. Despite the progress made, he emphasized the ongoing commitment to further improve infrastructure, services, and overall development in these islands.
