Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has sent a case to the Prosecutor General's Office against a former senior staff member of Fenaka Corporation's Mathimaradhoo Branch for using his position to obtain undue benefits for someone with familial relations.

The charges are to be pressed against former Assistant Manager of Fenaka's Mathimaradhoo Branch in Laamu Gan, Nasrullah Abdulla.

ACC said that the charges are raised against him for contracting a company he had family connections to, Maathun'di Trade and Contracting Company Pvt Ltd, to renovate the Mathimaradhoo nursery for the relocation of all power houses to the same branch. ACC said that he did this in 2019, when he was still serving in the Assistant Manager position.

ACC sent the case to the PG Office on September 29, asking to press charges of using an official position to gain undue benefits against Nasrullah.

ACC said that Nasrullah had granted the contract in contravention of Fenaka regulations, while that he had familial connections to the contractor.
