Local architect Fayaz Mansoor has been appointed as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Housing Development Corporation (HDC), marking the first appointed of a DMD to the state owned enterprise during the incumbent administration.
Fayaz, who has been with HDC since the reclamation of the Hulhumalé, was appointed as the company’s DMD on December 26 last year. However, today was his first day in office after the New Year holidays.
Fayaz has previously served as a Director of architectural and design firm, Gedo Consulting.
Fayaz holds a degree in Quantitative Surveying. He completed his Masters in Building Science from Victoria University, New Zealand.
