A man was killed in a collision between a sports car and a motorcycle in front of Ooredoo head office near Central Park in Hulhumale', early this morning.
Police said they received reported about the incident at 2:48 am involving a speeding car colliding into a motorcycle.
Hassan Samah, 23, had arrived in Male' to participate in a marathon which began early this morning in Hulhumale'. Before the event, Samah spent time with his family.

A witness stated that Samah left for the marathon at 1:04 am after having a meal. The accident occurred while transporting participants to the event. Another man was on the motorcycle with Samah but was not seriously injured.
Police have arrested the 26-year-old driving the sports car.
