Commencement of departures for the Hajj pilgrimage

Velana International Airport - May 15, 2026: 235 people in the first group of Maldivians traveling for Hajj this year departed today. This year, as well, people from the Maldives are being taken for Hajj under the care of the Hajj Corporation. The Maldives received 1,000 quotas this year. Maldivian pilgrims will depart through the arrangements of the Makkah Route.
