Maldivians queued up all over the country to cast their votes in the Presidential Election on September 23, 2018. The presidential candidates this year are incumbent President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom of the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), and the opposition coalition's candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
