Hortifarm, an agricultural island in Noonu atoll, has gifted 906 lime trees to homes in Lhaviyani atoll Naifaru.

The plants had been distributed on a first come, first serve basis, he said.
Rasheed said that Hortifarm managers had a contact from the island, via whom the donation had been arranged.
He said that residents had welcomed the gifts enthusiastically, leading to Hortifarm assuring they would offer similar giveaways in the future.
