Fenaka to purchase 39 generators to resolve electricity issues

Fenaka Corporation has opened for bidding to purchase 39 generator sets in a bid to resolve electricity issues faced in various islands.

Some of the generators currently used by Fenaka are old and inefficient, causing electricity supply issues in many islands.

In an announcement released today, Fenaka said that they are seeking generators of between 250 kilowatts and 1600 kilowatts.

Bids will be accepted from both local and foreign companies. A fee of between USD 3000 and 5000 needs to be paid as bid security.

Details of generators that Fenaka requires

- 7 generator sets of 250 kilowatts

- 6 generator sets of 400 kilowatts

- 8 generator sets of 600 kilowatts

- 5 generator sets of 800 kilowatts

- 6 generator sets of 1000 kilowatts

- 5 generator sets of 1200 kilowatts

- 2 generator sets of 1600 kilowatts

Bid registration will be open from October 7 to 14, proposals are to be submitted on October 15 and 16.

Proposals from those who do not register, and those submitted late will not be accepted, Fenaka said. Any further information needed can be sought through emailing the company, they said.
