Three days on, search for missing Chinese diver continues

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), on Tuesday, revealed that they have yet to find the Chinese diver that went missing at the world-famous pinnacle reef 'Kandooma Thila' in Kaafu Atoll.

The 41-year-old female diver was reported missing at approximately 1309 hrs on Sunday. The woman was a guest on the liveaboard 'OCA M7 S', said MNDF.

MNDF's Male' Area Coast Guard Squadron and Coast Guard Ship 'Shaheed Ali' are conducting the search and recovery operation.

A large number of marine-related incidents are reported, claiming multiple lives throughout the year.
