The Ninety Plus Gold Cup, a national football tournament open to teams from islands and cities across the Maldives, aims to reignite excitement for football.
Both teams featured experienced first division players during the match.
Kudahuvadhoo’s squad included former TC captain Ahmed Rilwan (Ben) and former Green Streets player Mohamed Saaif.
Fuvahmulah's team, coached by former national team defender Sobah Mohamed Ibrahim (Soba), included players like Moosa Azim Hassan from United Victory and Eagles, and Mohamed Saad (Nizar) from TC. Ghanaian striker Kofi Owusu, who has played for New Radiant in the second division, also featured in the squad.
Kofi scored the first goal of the match.

In the 78th minute, Rilwan received his second yellow card and was sent off for a foul on the goalkeeper. Less than a minute later, Saaif was shown a red card after already receiving a yellow. With Kudahuvadhoo reduced to nine players, Fuvahmulah capitalized on the advantage.
Ali Shamaal Abdulla put Fuvahmulah ahead with a second goal in the 89th minute. During extra time, Azim secured the third goal for Fuvahmulah.
