Three expatriates arrested for being in possession of alcohol bottles

Three expatriates have been arrested for being in possession of a large number of alcohol bottles in a special operation run by Police's Counter Narcotics Intelligence.

Police said that the three expatriates had been arrested after intercepting a pick up on a street in Hulhumale' Phase 1, search of which uncovered 48 bottles of alcohol.

The arrested have been identified as two Indians, Bikara Kumar, 24, and Akilesh Kumar, 27, and a Nepalese, Umakanth Chaudhary, 35.

Once taken to court for their remand hearing, all three were placed in remand in custody for a period of ten days.
