Residents have raised concerns over the increasing incidents of alleged sorcery in the community, leading many households to install surveillance cameras.
Police have launched an operation to search houses in Haa Dhaalu atoll Kulhudhuffushi following a surge in reported cases of sorcery on the island.
A police media official speaking with Mihaaru News said that 10 houses are currently being searched in connection with the case but did not disclose further details as the investigation is still ongoing.
