Applications for the post of Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) membership has reopened following the nullification of the previous announcement.
Applications are open until 12:00 hrs, December 31. The President’s Office will accept applications on working days from 08:30 hrs to 12:00 hrs, until the deadline.
The vacancies arose after the resignation of Vice President Abdul Salaam and Member Thoha Mohamed, following a parliamentary committee's decision to dismiss them due to alleged integrity and disciplinary concerns.
In his resignation letter to the President’s Office, Thoha stated that while he had performed his duties freely and honestly in accordance to the Constitution and the law, the allegations and no confidence motion had created an environment that made it impossible for him to continue his work independently.
Members of the ACC now consist of its President Adam Shamil and members Shiyama Mohamed and Shazna Hashim.
